72/110 A quiet night

72/110 june 28

Its been so long since I've had a night to myself or even time on my own. It was only for a short period of time, but it let me refresh my mind.

The past little while I've been so caught up with family and tonight for the first time i went out to the movies with a friend. When the movie ended for a second i thought i was in Canada... until i saw the chinese guy next to my friend LOL. I was asked early today by my dad if I feel home sick or had felt it since I've been away for so long. I had answered with a swiftly "No." I really didn't/ hadn't, but after the movie and feeling as if I was back home I must admit that I miss home.

67/110 It has been three years

It has been two long yet short weeks of cruising in the mediterranean.

Spending two whole weeks together, all the time can really connect and bond those around together. Its been 3 years since we've had a family trip together including my brother. Part two of my 2010 summer vacation has been a great time of fun and heat! There wasn't a day of quietness or bordem. Each day we visited a new place with a whole lot to see and eat!

We may grow up and walk our own paths, but everytime we meet there is a special friendship that will not disappear and tie us together.

For some strange reason i seem to get sick everytime before i fly. WOOT WOOT flying tonight to Venice! Time for some cruising!!!!!

After falling to the ground, you can't fall again until you get up. No matter what the problem is, you cannot mope forever, but there must be a time for you to stop the weeping and move forward.

A full afternoon of meetings, one after the other. So much to do within the next two days before i fly. Then a nice relaxing vacation in the sunny mediterranean for 2 weeks!

Time to party tonight! Mom's big half a century birthday!!

Visiting Mainland was an experience.

We staid at 中國大旅館 and upgraded to a suite style room because my uncle is the head of security and his wife is a manger at the hotel. It was the first time meeting them and it was a great time spent together (probably the best trip i've had to Mainland).

There is so much to see and take in when you're in a place of unfamiliarity place. I saw a lot of strange things which apparently is normal... a family of 4 on 1 bike, a truck heading the wrong way on a one way street, 2 lanes equal 3 cars/ 3 lanes equal 5 cars and much much more. There is so many particular things that you would never think is normal, but to them it's nothing new or interesting.

In this world there's so much tied to relations with other people. In China, you can do anything and everything with the right relationships. I was taken by shock when told that someone could be sent to a death sentence and because they know the right people and have the money they are able to pay for a new ID and pass without actually dying. I guess nothing is impossible.
